Thanks to all who put forward nominated works for the 2024 British Fantasy Awards. Everything has been assessed and those nominations that fit the entry criteria—for starters, a work released in the calendar year 2023—now make up our suggestions list. And that list now awaits your votes!
View the list here. You can no longer make a nomination for this list.
What happens from here?
- The open voting period will close on 29 June, 2024.
- The five works with the most nominations will be sent to a jury of experts and peers for that category.
- The jury will, as a group, decide on the placings.
- The winners get announced at FantasyCon in Chester in October!
Who can vote?
You can vote for the BFAs if you are any of the following:
- A member of the British Fantasy Society
- An attendee at FantasyCon 2023 (Birmingham)
- A ticket-holder for FantasyCon 2024 (Chester)
For each category, you may vote for up to three titles. There is no requirement to complete all three fields for each category, or to vote for every category.
Not a member? Voting in the BFAs is one of the benefits of membership, and a digital membership starts at just £20 for the year. And no, you don’t have to be British to join us!
OK, I’m in. Where do I go?
Voting for the British Fantasy Awards is open! Cast your votes here by Saturday, June 29th.
Can I nominate myself for jury duty?
You sure can! Jury members do not have to be BFS members; we want a good range of experiences and expertise for each category. Sign up here.
