Well, we really stepped up the publishing last year, eh? Thanks to all those members who offered time and talent to pen a guest blog for us, and to our volunteer review crew for sharing their thoughts on the latest releases across the speculative fiction world.
I’ve dug into the stats and found out what got you all clicking most in the calendar year of 2024, and present the top 10s below. Bear in mind these are the most read of the year, not necessarily of the posts published in 2024, so there are a few older pieces in there. However, there’s also some very recent pieces which clearly caused a stir – I’m looking at you, Sarah Elliott and Stephen Frame! Despite publishing at either end of December, these two made the top 10 most read blogs of the year. Nice work! It’s also great to see some of our regular features, like the member profiles and the Ask an Agent and subgenre deep dive columns, getting plenty of attention.
The BFS blog is one of those perks of membership we often talk about. Any member can pitch a post about any topic they’d like to explore – from their own writing process, to what inspires them, to the things they geek out about, and more. Not sure how to write a blog post? Get in touch and I’ll walk you through it, or offer some questions by email to get you started. You can pitch via this form, or email me at online@britishfantasysociety.org
But now, with no further ado, here come those top 10s…
