Fantasycon Art Show Applications Open!
Applications for the FantasyCon 2026 art show are now open.
For information about the show, please see our example art show contract below.
If you would like to exhibit artwork within the art show and print shop, please apply at this link (Google Form).
Applications will be open until 14 April 2026 (late applications may be considered if there is still space available). We’d love to have any artwork that is considered speculative in nature, including (but not limited to) traditional mediums, digital art, and sculpture. For full content guidelines, please see our contract. We hope to see you there!
Event Hotel
The event is taking place on the ground and first floors of the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Glasgow.
​If you wish to stay at the event hotel for the duration of the event (or even days before or after), please book this with the hotel itself. We have negotiated a convention rate of £165 per night for attendees, and a limited number of rooms will be available at this rate. Please use this link to book at the convention rate: FantasyCon2026 Please note that the first night’s stay will be charged at the time of booking as a non-refundable deposit.

Event Timing
The event takes place from Friday, 9th October to Sunday, 11th October 2024.
Activities are expected to run from midday on Friday until Sunday evening.
Event Registration and dealers room opening is intended to be from 12 noon on Friday with panels and readings starting from mid afternoon.
Activities are intended to start from 10am on Saturday and Sunday.
Social activities are intended to continue late into the night on Friday and Saturday; we expect the event to end by 5 or 6pm on the Sunday.

Our annual British Fantasy Awards banquet will take place on Saturday evening, followed by the presentation of the awards themselves. Anyone with a Fantasycon ticket may attend the awards ceremony, whether or not they take part in the banquet. There is an additional cost to attend the banquet – this can be booked here: British Fantasy Awards Banquet – The British Fantasy Society. We want to give as many people as possible the opportunity to attend, so banquet tickets are currently available at the early bird price of £45 per head. The price will rise to £50 on 1st July and bookings will close on 18th September.
Getting to the Venue
Details on how to reach the hotel can be found on the hotel website.

The hotel offers parking, including EV charging stations and wheelchair-accessible spaces.
The nearest train station is Exhibition Centre.​ Trains run from Glasgow Central and take less than 5 minutes. On arrival at the station, a lift is available along with the stairs to take you to street level. A covered walkway connects the station to the campus; the hotel is adjacent to the campus on the riverside.
On Arrival
Check in at the Fantasycon Registration Desk for your Event Badge. Anyone found in the event spaces during the event without their Event Badge will be asked to leave, so try not to lose it.
To check in, just let the person at the desk know your name (or the name of the person who made the booking).
If you have booked a hotel room, please check in at the main hotel reception.

There are a variety of Hotels in Glasgow, including many within walking distance of the venue.
Venue Accessibility Information
The hotel has a lift to all floors of the hotel, and they have accessible bedrooms. Further information is available from the hotel website’s accessibility page.

Dealers and Art Show
Fantasycon 2026 will have an art show as well as a separate dealers’ hall.
All of the dealers are in the same room, which will be locked when not in use. The art show will also be in a separate space; accessible only during advertised hours.
There is free wifi throughout the venue, and there are power sockets in the room but do let us know if you need these so we can ensure an appropriate extension lead is available if required.
