Our talented interviewee is John Baker, science fiction, fantasy and horror agent, and will be interviewed by BFS Chair, Shona Kinsella.
John Baker (he/him) joined the agency in 2019 where he is focusing on building his own cultivated list, shaped around his passion for Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror. John also leads the film & TV desk for the wider agency and is the Secretary of the Association of Author’s Agents and serves as the co-chair of the AAA The Bridge Committee.
John is building a unique list of authors, who all share a passion for subverting expectations and creating rich new worlds of adventure. John is focusing on authors writing in the Adult, New Adult and YA space. John’s authors include S. A. MacLean, Mahmud el Sayed, Kenechi Udogu and A. M. Shine, whose debut novel The Watchers will be in released in cinemas this June with M. Night Shyamalan producing..

Shona Kinsella: Shona Kinsella is a multiple-award-nominated Scottish fantasy author. Her works include The Heart of Winter, The Vessel of KalaDene series, The Flame and the Flood, and non-fiction Outlander and the Real Jacobites: Scotland’s Fight for the Stuarts. She was the editor of the British Fantasy Society’s fiction publication BFS Horizons for four years and is now the Chair of the Society. She lives with her husband and 3 children on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond.
