British Fantasy Awards Suggestions List

We are very pleased to open the suggestions list for this year’s British Fantasy Awards. The suggestions list is a crowd-sourced list of eligible materials – it is not a longlist and we do not consider anything on this list as a nomination. People are welcome to suggest their own works for this list.

Eligible materials for the 2025 awards are those first published between 1st January 2024 and 31st December 2024 and relate to Fantasy, SF and Horror, including all of their subgenres.

To add your suggestions to the list, please complete the form here

If you have a question about how the awards work, you can read our FAQ

You do not have to be a member of the BFS to add works to the suggestions list, though only BFS members and Fantasycon attendees are allowed to vote in the next stage of the process.

Do the books need to be written by British authors and published via British publishing houses to qualify for a nomination? Thanks!

No they don’t. Titles can be published by anyone, anywhere in the world, as long as they’re in English.
