Find out more about the British Fantasy Society
The British Fantasy Society is a volunteer-run, fan-led organisation celebrating excellence in Fantasy, Science Fiction and Horror. Through events, both in person and online, reviews, blog posts, publications, competitions, mentorship and a thriving members-only discord, we foster a diverse and inclusive community for those who love SFFH in all its forms. Our members include genre fans of all varieties: readers, bloggers, reviewers, artists, writers, editors, publishers, agents and more. We also administer the British Fantasy Awards, the longest-running fantasy awards in the UK.
We do not support the use of generative AI and will not knowingly accept art or writing created using it for any of our competitions or publications. We do not knowingly allow art or writing created using it to be shared in our spaces, either in person or online.
We endeavour to foster a safe, inclusive, and diverse community. We will not tolerate hate speech or other hateful behaviour in any of our spaces, either in person or online. We will not tolerate any behaviour which could contribute to creating a hostile environment towards any specific group. Anyone displaying these behaviours may be banned from our spaces and may have their membership of the Society revoked.
