When your life – or the world – is facing upheaval and difficult times, how do you keep writing? Is it even possible to find room for creativity in the darkest of times? Join Aliette de Bodard and Anne Goulard as they discuss exactly this and give some practical tips for how to keep going.

Aliette de Bodard writes speculative fiction: she has won three Nebula Awards, an Ignyte Award, a Locus Award and six British Science Fiction Association Awards. She is the author of Navigational Entanglements, a xianxia-inspired romantic space opera, and of A Fire Born of Exile, a sapphic Count of Monte Cristo in space (Gollancz/JABberwocky Literary Agency, Inc.). Anne Goulard is a French author who lives in Brittany and writes for pleasure. Since 2010, her short stories have been regularly pusblished in different French or Canadian venues such as Mystère et mauvais genre, Brin d’Eternité, Présence d’Esprit.
